Lake Whetstone is a 27-acre stormwater management pond located in Montgomery Village (Montgomery County), Maryland. Washington D.C. is 30 miles southeast, and Baltimore is 45 miles northeast.

The closest location for emergency care is the Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, four and a half miles away. The Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is 40 and a half miles from Lake Whetstone.

This small, man-made lake has big opportunities for outdoor fun! A walking path surrounds the lake, perfect for an afternoon walk or morning run. Residents can either bring and store their own paddle boats, kayaks/canoes or rent one.
